Yesterday I was having a light chat with my 11 year old nephew about a food delicacy. And he instantly asked me, when did you last had a pizza and how much have you paid for it ! It took me a moment to think and he rather uninterruptedly told me, i used Magic Pin to get the discount and some time free pizza.

I was about to asked him, how the app works and as with any young mind of today’s time – lack of attention span, he instantly hooked on to his Jio’s Feature Phone and start watching a video. I asked him what is he watching – here came the response, learning techniques to become Pro in PUBG on YouTube.

PUBG, what is it? Here comes a quick response, it’s a game uncle which you can play on mobile as well as PC. The best part is you can play along with people across the globe.

…. Marketeers must have taken a lot of pain to promote a food discounting app, selling Jio Phones, promoting a YouTube channel and a mobile game. On top of it, they must have had a long discussion on who is their user and who is their customers and you could be an influencer for them online.

And here I am with a 11 year old toddler, who not just influenced me but ensured that I have download 2 apps on my phone and start looking more in the Jio feature phone.

The conversation left me with a question, whom should the brand communicate with?

How to get Highest Level of Motivation?

When we are not able to answer this question we are lacking in self belief and hence we have to resolve this by understanding why self belief is lacking and how we can improve it.

When we are not able to answer this question we are doubting the utility of the actions, one way we can answer this question is by comparing results of others who performed the same actions and what results it produced.

  • Do the results matter to me?

Sometimes results are not meaningful for us and that is single biggest reason for us not taking up certain tasks. For example some students may not value high grades that much and hence do not want to spend more time on studies. The way to correct it is by understanding the benefit which we may be able to connect with, this will completely change motivation levels. For example a student may not be interested in studying accounting to get high grades, but she may be interested in studying accounting if it is fun and helps her prepare for entrepreneurship.
